Infineon Strengthens Commitment to Sustainability with New Green Power Purchase Agreements

Oct 17,2025

Infineon Technologies AG has entered into green power purchase agreements (PPAs) with PNE AG and Statkraft to strengthen its commitment to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. Over the next decade, Infineon will source green electricity from PNE AG’s Schlenzer and Kittlitz III wind farms in Brandenburg, Germany, supplying power to its sites in Dresden, Regensburg, Warstein, and Neubiberg near Munich. The seven wind turbines have a total installed capacity of 24 MW, delivering 550 GWh of electricity under the contract. In addition, Statkraft will provide a further 220 GWh of renewable energy over five years from solar parks in Spain to the German grid.

Elke Reichart, Member of the Management Board and Chief Digital Transformation and Sustainability Officer at Infineon, stated, “Infineon semiconductors are driving decarbonization — every one to two new wind turbines installed globally contains Infineon technology. Through these PPAs, we are directly supporting the transition to green energy while advancing our own climate objectives.”

Infineon aims to transition its global operations to 100% green electricity within this year and achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. Since fiscal year 2021, the company has already been using renewable electricity across Germany and Europe. By signing long-term PPAs with wind and solar power plants in Brandenburg and Spain, Infineon ensures a stable green power supply and contributes to the continued growth of renewable energy infrastructure.
