Hon Hai Q2 revenue of NT $1.3 trillion, a year-on-year decrease of 13.75%

Hon Hai released its financial reports for June and the second quarter of 2023 on July 5th. The company's consolidated revenue in June was NT $422.775 billion, a decrease of 6.2% compared to the previous month; The revenue in the second quarter was 1302.7 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.94% month on month and 13.75% year-on-year, marking the lowest point since the fourth quarter of 2020. Hon Hai expects its performance to resume growth in the third quarter, as the peak season in the second half of the year will gradually warm up.

Regarding Hon Hai's four major product lines, the company pointed out that computer terminals benefited from the release of new products, with a growth of over 10% in June compared to May; Components and other products remained unchanged compared to May; Cloud network devices and consumer grade intelligent products have slightly declined compared to May.

Observing the overall performance of the second quarter, Hon Hai pointed out that products such as computer terminals and components have increased compared to the first quarter; Cloud and network devices remained unchanged from the first quarter; Consumer smart products are declining.

Hon Hai's cumulative consolidated revenue in the first half of 2023 was 2765.411 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.25% compared to the same period last year, the second highest in the same period.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Hon Hai expects that based on the traditional peak season in the second half of the year, its operations will gradually warm up. Therefore, the third quarter is expected to grow compared with the second quarter, and the growth rate will be slightly higher than that of the previous two years. The revenue situation is expected to be similar to that before the COVID-19 epidemic.
