Oct 11,2022

Today, MediaTek released the Tianji 1080 processor. This processor is an upgraded version of Tianji 920 processor. Its performance is benchmarking against Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+, emphasizing better performance and imaging functions. Mobile phones equipped with this processor will be released in the fourth quarter of this year.
It is reported that the Tianji 1080 processor is designed with an eight core CPU architecture, consisting of two performance cores and six energy efficiency cores. The two performance cores of the CPU are ARM Cortex-A78 with a frequency of 2.6GHz, while the six CPU cores are ARM Cotex-A55 with a frequency of 2GHz. The GPU still uses Mali-G68, which supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS3.1 flash memory. Tianji 1080 processor adopts a 6nm manufacturing process, which has excellent energy efficiency and can extend the battery life of mobile phones.
