Dec 26,2024

Omdia, a market research agency, pointed out in a report that Foxconn, with its rapid growth in ODM direct business, especially driven by the demand for AI optimized servers from the largest cloud vendor in the United States, will surpass Dell and become the world's largest server vendor by 2024.

Manoj Sukumaran, Senior Chief IT Analyst at Omdia Data Center, said, "Foxconn's growth momentum will continue into 2025. It has established a close partnership with Nvidia to produce Blackwell GPU reference design servers and will become the largest supplier of NVL36 and NVL72 racks to cloud vendors

Omdia stated that 2025 will be another strong growth year for the data center industry, especially the server market, thanks to the next phase of AI infrastructure deployment by cloud service providers and enterprises. Omdia predicts that server capital expenditures will increase by 22% and exceed $280 billion next year. It is expected that this strong growth will continue for the entire decade, with the server market expected to reach $380 billion by 2028 and nearly $500 billion by 2030.

In terms of the Chinese market, Omdia pointed out that by 2024, the total market share of the top three in the Chinese server market will continue to expand. However, as ODM manufacturers such as Huaqin, Wingtech, and Kunqian increase their direct relationships with head cloud vendors, the market needs to prepare for fierce competition in 2025.
