TDK Introduces Expanded Lineup of Large-Size Ferrite Cores for Industrial Power Applications

On July 24, TDK Corporation announced the launch of a new series of large-size ferrite cores, offering a diverse range of shapes and sizes—making it one of the most comprehensive portfolios in its category. These cores are engineered for a broad spectrum of industrial applications, including motor drives, EV charging stations, railway and traction systems, power transformers, welding equipment, medical devices, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar inverters, and other renewable energy technologies.

Designed to support optimal magnetic circuit configurations, the new cores enhance both efficiency and thermal performance in high-power environments.

The expanded standardized lineup includes core shapes such as E, U, I, PM, and PQ, made from TDK’s advanced power materials: N27, N87, N88, N92, N95, and N97. To further simplify integration into power designs, the series is supported by a range of accessories including coil formers and mounting hardware.

With this launch, TDK strengthens its position as a key enabler of high-efficiency power conversion systems across a variety of industrial and renewable sectors.
